TABNAK, Dec 30: Director of Iran’s Airbus Hangar Reza Abedi, said “This success, in addition to reducing dependence on foreign forces, indicates the progress of the country's aviation industry.”
Engineering and maintenance specialists of the Islamic Republic of Iran airlines, using their experience and capabilities, are performing ‘S Check’ on an Airbus A300-600.
The Airbus A300-600 aircraft with the BA register is undergoing a 54-day inspection and overhaul process. In this process, more than 2,000 repair instructions are reviewed and implemented in accordance with the manufacturer's standards, Abedi said.
This operation, which is carried out once every 6 years, includes a complete overhaul of the engine, wings, fuselage, fuel tanks, cabin, landing gear and specialized tests, he said.
The aircraft will soon return to the fleet and will be used on international routes, including ritual Hajj flights, after completing the repair process and conducting flight tests.
